Upgrades to Colposcopy admin systems have improved services for patients with better quality information being recorded. Images are now saved automatically to electronic patient records, using one system – the Welsh Clinical Portal (WCP), rather than two separate systems.

The electronic Coloposcopy Clinical Record records extensive clinical detail and incorporates health promotion information, giving clinicians and decision makers more in-depth data to support plans of care.  Having clinical images within the record also means multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) of clinicians can review all the relevant information together, supporting decision making.
