From Apprentice to Information Analyst with a first-class degree

Back in July 2018 Bryoni Keighley joined Information Services in what was then NWIS, as one of the first Business Admin Apprentices. And just a few years later, after a monumental effort she has graduated from the University of Wales Trinity St Davids with a first-class degree in Data and Information Systems.

She said completing the degree had been quite a journey:

“After 4 long years filled with ups and downs, 6 months on campus, 2 and a half years online, 1 year of a 300 mile commute to campus every week, we are finally at the end. Although there were hurdles, I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I have had the most amazing experience and met some truly inspirational people along the way. I’ve discovered just how resilient I can be and I’m so proud to be standing here with a first-class degree in Data and Information Systems.”

Bryoni started the four year degree apprenticeship in 2019 while continuing to work in information services. In May 2021 she was appointed as an Information Analyst (PBI) in the Information Services Corporate Power BI team where she has become an integral member of the team. They work with a wide range of people throughout DHCW to produce quality Power BI dashboards.

Bryoni’s colleagues have said they couldn’t be prouder of what she has achieved. Congratulations Bryoni!
