A DPN is a national request for the collection of information by means of an aggregate proforma.
The aggregate proformas are structured templates designed to gather consolidated data from organisations. This data is then reviewed, analysed, and, in some cases, published to provide insights into activity being carried out in specific areas or specialties. Proformas are sent directly from the Operational Service to the organisation requesting the information. Data does not flow through DHCW.
DPNs are accredited by the Welsh Information Standards Board (WISB). DPNs are subject to agreed periodical reviews, and the notices include a documented Review Date. DPN reviews are appraised by the Information Quality Improvement (IQI) group.
