Rachel Lewis, recently appointed into the new role of Chief Allied Health Professions Information Officer at Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) was delighted to present a Digital Innovation Award at the recent Advancing Healthcare Cymru Awards, held in Cardiff.
The Digital Innovation Award category recognises the outstanding use of digital solutions to enhance patient care, improve workflows, and empower Allied Health Professionals(AHPs) across Wales.
The Advancing Healthcare Cymru awards programme is an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate the important and innovative work of healthcare scientists and allied health professionals across Wales.
Rachel said: “It was an honour to be asked to present the award in my new role as Chief Allied Health Professions Information Officer for DHCW. This position is the first of its kind in Wales, and being part of an event that celebrates digital innovation felt like a perfect way to highlight the importance of technology in shaping the future of AHP practice.
“I was inspired by the creativity and commitment demonstrated by all nominees. Each project showcased how digital innovation can transform clinical practice and deliver real benefits for patients and professionals alike.
“I would like to congratulate the winners and all those shortlisted who are driving the future of healthcare through technology. I would also like to thank the organisers for creating a platform that celebrates excellence and collaboration within the AHP community. Digital transformation is a team effort, and these achievements highlight what’s possible when we combine clinical expertise with innovative thinking.”
