Digital Services for Patients and the Public (DSPP) programme and Kainos Earns Nomination for Healthcare Project of the Year Award at the BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards 2023 for Innovation with the NHS Wales App.

The DSPP programme and our development colleagues at Kainos were thrilled to have been recently nominated at the BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards 2023. DSPP and Kainos were finalists in the Healthcare Project of the Year award for our contribution to the healthcare sector through the development of the NHS Wales App.

The NHS Wales App, developed by DSPP, will be a game-changer in health and care access and delivery within Wales. The innovative mobile application and desktop website offers a wide array of features designed to improves access to NHS services and help patients and the public manage their health and care anytime, anywhere.

The nomination of the NHS Wales App reflects DSPP’s and Digital Health and Care Wales’ dedication to leveraging digital technology to improve the delivery of health and care services to the patients and public of Wales. The award nomination recognised the efforts of the DSPP programme and the collaboration with Kainos and all patient and public representatives involved to bring the NHS Wales App to life.
