Chris is Interim Director of Finance at Digital Health and Care Wales, having previously joined DHCW as Deputy Director of Finance. Leading the finance and commercial teams, he also championed the development of DHCW’s approach to integrating social value and sustainability into financial decision-making. He is a senior finance leader with extensive experience across the NHS, public sector, professional services and technology.
Before joining the organisation, Chris held roles across NHS Wales, including at Velindre University NHS Trust and the National Collaborative Commissioning Unit. His career combines finance expertise with system leadership, investment appraisal and commercial negotiation with a background in digital and transformation. He brings a breadth of experience from his work in consultancy roles at Deloitte and Capgemini, where he supported public sector Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) on operating models, governance, and large-scale change programmes.
Chris is a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Fellow and holds a degree in Economics from the University of Warwick. He is a qualified Sustainability professional (Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential) and was awarded an MSc with distinction in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex. Chris graduated from the Accounting 4 Sustainability Leadership Academy in 2022, receiving an Advocacy Award for his work in leading the development of the Foundational Economy agenda across Wales.
