The way medicines are prescribed, dispensed and administered in Wales is changing – and the team behind this exciting innovation has created a video to help patients, the public and health professionals understand how these changes will benefit them.
The Digital Medicines Transformation Portfolio brings together four programmes that will deliver the benefits of a fully digital prescribing approach in all care settings in Wales. DMTP’s aims include enabling patients to access all their health information in a new NHS Wales App, giving health professionals the information they need at the push of a button, and moving towards a paper-free NHS in Wales, eliminating the use of more than 80m paper prescription each year.
DMTP created the three-minute animated video to showcase the inter-connected elements of its work and to help service users and providers understand how health and care will benefit from digital medicines.
