GPs are able to have remote access to their practice-based computer from a home computer or device, thanks to a solution implemented by NWIS.
It allows GPs to work as if they were in their surgery, with secure access to all the necessary systems and network.
Dr Sally Davies from Pontprennau Medical Centre posted on Twitter and said, “We’ve got GPs self-isolating who have managed to get remote access and enabled us to continue to provide a GP service for our patients.”
The work to enable GPs to gain access was completed in just a matter of weeks by the Primary Care and Client Services teams in NWIS. To find out more, click here.
