Data Standards

The Data Standards team support the assurance and development of all NHS Wales data standards and maintain the NHS Wales Data Dictionary.

The team is responsible for:

• The preparation and publication of all NHS Wales Data Standards Change Notices;

• The preparation and publication of all NHS Wales Data Provision Notices;

• The development of a range of data standards;

• The maintenance of the NHS Wales Data Dictionary; 

• The preparation and publication of all NHS Wales Analysis Method Notices.

• The provision of data standards advice via the national Data Standards Helpline; and

• The provision of secretarial support to the Welsh Information Standards Board (WISB).
