Statistical Reports (Excel Tables and PDFs)

The Annual APC Publication uses data as at August each year. This data is subject to change but the publication will not be amended to reflect any changes.

Please note that from 1st April 2019 health service provision for residents of Bridgend local authority moved from Abertawe Bro Morgannwg to Cwm Taf. The health board names have changed with Cwm Taf University Health Board becoming Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Board becoming Swansea Bay University Health Board. For more information see the Joint statement from Cwm Taf and Abertawe Bro Morgannwg University Health Boards. Therefore, data for Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Swansea Bay University Health Board are only available for 2019/20 and are not comparable with previous years’ data.

For data prior to 2014/15 or where your request cannot be satisfied through the available data, specific requests for data can be obtained through the Digital Health and Care Wales bespoke analysis service. This service is provided to the Welsh Government, NHS Wales and others. For information other than that already available via this website, please contact the Analysis Team at and detail your requirements as fully as possible.

Annual APC Data Quality Status Reports are available to view alongside each publication. This document describes a range of data quality issues affecting this data set. Click here to view the Data Quality Status Report for 2022/23.

A Notes and Definitions document accompanies the published data and is designed to give an overview of what has been included and not included in each of the tables. Furthermore, this document offers some points to consider when comparing data to HES Data Tables from NHS England. Click here to view the Notes & Defintions for 2022/23.

**12th March 2024 - The primary diagnosis figures published on page 3 of the Headline Figures have been revised for 2022/23 due to a data extraction error.  Please note that the new figures may be significantly different from those published previously.

This error also affects historic publications and therefore the diagnosis section for Headline Figures prior to 2022/23 have been removed.

The affected documents have a suffix of (R).
