Support for Digital Champions

The Welsh Government’s Digital and Data Strategy for Health and Social Care in Wales (2023-2028) emphasises the importance of: 

1. Ensuring everyone has the opportunity to access and benefit  from digital health services. 
2. Involving people in the design and development of digital services to meet their specific needs. 
3. Addressing the challenges of digital exclusion, such as lack of access to technology, skills, or confidence. 

Digital Services for Patients and the Public Programme recognise the importance of ensuring everyone in Wales feels confident in using digital devices and have the necessary skills, access and tools with support. The aim is that there are digital champions able to help across Wales through networks in different settings, such as health boards, local authorities and third sector organisations.
