Discover other health and care services within the NHS Wales App provides access to information, services and screening programmes from NHS Wales health boards, trusts, and other NHS services. It is a library of resources including digital apps and websites hosted on a Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW) portal website.
Patients can access Discover other health and care services in the ‘More’ section of the NHS Wales App, but it can also be accessed independently from a web browser. There is no integration or data exchange between these hosted resources and the NHS Wales App.
Discover other health and care services
Resources can include links to a website or App, but they should only be Health and Care related. Some examples of resources currently available via Discover Other Health and Care Services, are ‘Breast Screening’ and ‘Healthy Weight, Healthy You’.
Currently, only NHS Wales Health Boards, Trusts, and other NHS Services can submit a request to add a link to a website or App to the portal.
An accreditation process has been developed to ensure that digital services and applications are suitable for public access by adhering to standards of quality, security and usability. This process involves evaluating digital products against established criteria to confirm they meet the necessary requirements.
The process is in 3 parts:
Each of these parts will be operated as individual data capture forms using Microsoft Forms.
If you would like your App or website to be made available to patients via Discover other health and care services within the NHS Wales App, then please commence the accreditation process by completing Part A.
The sections below explain each of the parts in more detail.
