Paul Evans is a seasoned and enthusiastic leader in Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance, with over 30 years of experience in the healthcare sector. As the Head of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance at Digital Health and Care Wales (DHCW), he is responsible for developing and delivering the Quality Management System, ensuring alignment with the organisational vision and values, and meeting the legal and regulatory requirements for Software as a Medical Device, Computer Systems Validation, and Duty of Quality. He is passionate about embedding quality in everything done at DHCW.
Paul has a strong background in operations management, quality improvement, project management, team building, and risk management. He holds a postgraduate diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology and Quality Assurance (PTQA) from the University of Manchester and is a CQI practitioner and an IRCA/CQI certified ISO 13485 lead auditor.
Paul is an Associate Board Member on the Board representing the Trade Unions. He is Co-Chair of the Local Partnership Forum, as an advisory group to the Board. His commitment to partnership working is well established over many years, he has been involved in trade union activity since 1989, demonstrating a long-standing commitment to partnership working.
